Jack created this poster using his anthuriums lithograph. Apparently, the network changed the airing date, for neither the pilot nor the first episode aired on that date.
The USCGC Cape Corwin appeared in several episodes, starting with the pilot. So popular was she that those who served aboard her called her the Cape McGarrett.
The Falls of Clyde appeared not only on H50, but also on Jack's last project, M Station: Hawaii. She was taken out and scuttled earlier this year despite the efforts of the Friends of Falls of Clyde and the International Friends of Falls of Clyde to save and restore her.
From Season 1 through halfway through Season 7, McGarrett drove a 1968 Mercury Park Lane similar to this one. Why use this picture? Take a look at the Ford Tri-motor that sits behind it. It led aviation out of the canvas and wood-frame era and into the honeycomb, monocoque era that is still used today. (Used with the permission of the Ford Motor Company)
